It's designed to fit modern AGM 6 and 12 Volt batteries. So from outside it looks an old battery with the advantage that you can replace the modern battery which is inside at low cost. Outer sizes: 16.5 cm (H) x 8 cm (W) x 8.9 cm (D). Fits to most german motorcycles 1930 onwards and as well to many other european brands.
